Sunday night’s incident at Newark airport has gotten everyone wondering about why TSA had such a difficult time locating the individual who caused the security breach. The incident was captured on Continental Airline’s Security cameras, but it took the TSA officials two hours to confirm the breach.
This incident has now brought to light the fact that the TSA does not actually control or directly monitor security cameras. Instead, security cameras are actually directly monitored by airlines and airports. According to ABC news’ source, the TSA might have been able to respond faster to this incident if the TSA had better access to the tapes. The source went as far as calling the situation a “sticking point”.
