After being targeted by burglars and thieves twice before, an 87-year-old Florida man is now being monitored at all times by the local Brevard County police. Not only does he not mind this video surveillance in his home, but he is glad that he is being watched and feels safe because of it. Thanks to the live feed, the 87-year-old Florida man was saved from a kidnapping and a home invasion that would have left him with an empty bank account.
On Monday, August 30th, detectives came into their office and were shocked to see that the live feed to the man’s home was showing three intruders walking around his house. The police immediately drove to the man’s house to find the three intruders trying to force the man into his car. They were planning on driving to a local bank to force the elderly man to empty his bank account and steal all of his money.
Luckily for the elderly man, the three intruders were instantly caught and arrested. They were identified as Christopher Comella, Anthony Millar and Matthew Zachas and were charged with home invasion and kidnapping.
One of the arrested crooks also targeted the same 87-year-old man earlier when he and an unidentified woman came to his home pretending to be police officers and tried to get him to pay for some sort of protection. Thankfully, the elderly man was able to use technology to fight crime in the form of his 24/7 surveillance feed.
