Thanks to the power of surveillance cameras, the Internet, and viral videos, some heartless old woman will get what she deserves. If not by legal means, then at the very least by the guilt and shame of her actions being exposed to the world.
The story starts with Stephanie Mann and her husband, Darryl, getting ready for Sunday Lunch when they heard Lola, the 4-year-old family cat meowing in pain. They thoughts the kitten was stuck under the car or hurt because she sounded like she was in a lot of pain. After following her cries for help, the couple found the kitten in the trash bin with the cover closed.
The couple then reviewed the surveillance tape of a CCTV camera they have in front of the house to find out what had really happened to poor Lola. But what they found was not an accident or some act of misfortune that struck the poor kitten, but instead the tape showed that a cruel middle-aged woman just walked up to the kitten and threw her into the trash bin, closed the lid, and proceeded to walk away nonchalantly. When Lola’s family found her in the trash, it had already been 15 hours since she had been put in the trash. Any longer and the kitten might have died.
“I was just disgusted. I was absolutely heartbroken to see how someone could just be so cruel. You can see on the footage that Lola didn’t approach the woman, the woman went to her for a fuss. I don’t know what went through her head but it was just disgusting to watch and it broke my eight-year-old daughter’s heart,” said Stephanie Mann.
In an attempt to track down this person, the couple posted the surveillance video on Facebook and YouTube hoping that someone would be able to identify the woman. Thankfully, the culprit was identified and is now being investigated by the authorities. Both, the Mann couple and the police are urging the public not to intervene and leave the punishment for the authorities.
