India Claims China is Targeting Them with Cyber Hacks Too

indiahackIndia’s security chief, M.K. Narayanan,  is claiming that Chinese hackers have attempted to hack into India’s most sensitive government office. Tensions between China and India have been resizing lately ever nice India’s relationship with the U.S. has improved to the point that the U.S. is poised to be selling them billions of dollars worth of weapons. Although there is no way for the Indian office to now for sure, they are pretty sure that the attacks originated from China.

Narayanan claims that the attacks occurred on December 15th, the same day that U.S. companies reported cyber attacks from China.
“This was not the first instance of an attempt to hack into our computers,” Mr Narayanan told.

The attack came in the form of an email with PDF attachment containing a Trojan virus. Meanwhile, China is denying any role in these attacks. “Hacking in whatever form is prohibited by law in China,” said Jiang Yu, a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman.
