It’s 5 a.m. in Broomfield, Colorado and volunteers are already arriving (coffee in hand) at the Broadlands Golf Course for a 7:30 a.m. tee time. But they’re not here to play golf. They’re here to raise money for the Missing Children Task Force during Colorado’s Missing Children’s Week.
The Missing Children’s Task Force is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to investigate, locate, and recover missing children at no cost to the family. In Colorado alone there were over 14,000 children reported missing in 2006. Nationwide, that number increases to 797,500 children reported missing each year.
