robberyRecently in Albany, Georgia, a convenience store was robbed and the entire robbery was caught on tape. The Climax convenience store was robbed at gun point just an hour before its closing time. The thief made off with $300 from the cashier register but left the two employees working there at the time unharmed.

Despite the fact that the entire robbery was caught on tape, the police still have not been able to find the burglar and are asking for any one with information to come forward. The police arrested two men that matched the suspects description, and while both had warrants neither was the person they were looking for. Needless to say some of the workers are still very worried about coming back to work.

“Just to view what happened on the camera made me cry because these are my employees,” said Nicoa West, an employee of Climax who was not on duty during the time of the robbery.

apple-storeThe Apple store is one of the most interactive and display-centric stores out there. They have all their top of the line gear on display including iPhones, Macbooks, desktops, and iPods for people to touch and test. Maybe that’s why thieves targeted the Apple store in Marlton, New Jersey.

In a well organized heist, thieves cleaned out the store in an amazing 31 seconds, snagging 23 Macbook Pros, 14 iPhones, and 9 iPod touches. Thieves brandished guns to scare security guards and were in and out before police could even arrive on the scene. Unfortunately, the thieves covered their faces, rendering security footage useless.

billings-pic2When a murder takes place, investigators are usually left with few clues. There is much speculation on how the murder could have occurred and who could have done it. Sadly, Byrd and Melanie Billings faced a similar fate when they were found murdered in their Pensacola, Florida home. Thankfully the Billings took precautions that left investigators with a crucial piece of evidence: a home security system video.

The video shows almost every detail of the crime, from the time the intruders broke into the home, to the murder, and the eventual removal of the family’s safe.

The police have used the surveillance video to help determine a list of suspects: Leonard Gonzalez, Jr., the alleged mastermind behind the crime, as well as Wayne Coldiron, Donnie Stallworth, Gary Sumner, Frederick Thornton, and 16-year-old Rakeem Florence, who are all considered accomplices in the robbery and murder.

With the help of the hard evidence provided by the Billings’ home security camera, the six men in this case will be help accountable for their actions. If convicted, the five adults involed are facing the death penalty, while Florence (still a minor) potentially faces life in prison.

bank-robber1A serial bank robber has robbed banks in Georgia, along with Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. In each of these bank robberies he is captured on the surveillance cameras sometimes posing for the camera and making no attempt to hide his face. He often sneers at the camera and brandishes his gun in the faces of the FBI officials reviewing the tape.

The FBI has decided to use the bank robbers arrogance against him, by putting his face on electronic billboards all across the southern United States. The FBI stated that the bank robbers targets have spanned for at least 600 miles north, and about 500 miles east. The FBI believes that the billboards will help in bringing this modern day John Dillinger to justice.

korean-grave-robberIn Korea, the ashes of famed actress Choi Jin-sil were stolen from their grave by what police believe to be a crazed fan. Police have released video footage taken by the graveyards security cameras which shows a short-haired, medium height man in his 40s wandered around the grave at 5:43-5:55AM on August 2nd. He was wearing camouflage pants, a short sleeved T-shirt and a gray vest.

The suspect was holding a large wooden stick and was seen in the video wandering around the grave occasionally measuring the grave where the ashes of the actress where held. After about 10 minutes of doing so, he left the scene, and that is when cameras were able to catch still images of his face. Police have already managed to match his face to another video of a man breaking into the grave with a hammer four nights later and stealing the ashes of the late Choi Jin-sil.
