Not Your Typical Fallout Shelter: Doomsday Goes Luxury

With all the doomsday predictions pointing to a not so far away date, some savvy business owners are looking to cash in on people’s fear by providing luxury doomsday bunkers at $50,000 a piece. One of these people is Robert Vicino, a businessman who is planning to create a giant luxury underground survival shelter networks.

The Vivo Group plans to create a network of 20 underground shelters located near major cities, each of the units large enough to hold up to 200 people and provide them with enough food and resources to comfortable last them at least a year.

The airtight shelters are designed to survive virtually any catastrophe, or threat scenario including natural disasters, a nuclear blast, chemical and biological weapons, or just social anarchy.

Each of these luxury shelters costs about $10 million to construct, and when divided between the 200 people comes to $50,000 per person.

Whether you believe in the predictions or not, this has proven to be a great market for Vivos as they have already had plenty of customers line up to get chance at one of these spots.
